Happy Memories Created at Cousin Cheryl’s

Do you remember coming home from school and smelling fresh baked chocolate chip cookies?  Do you remember cookies that melted in your mouth and made you feel happy all over? When was the last time you had a warm homemade cookie just out of the oven? With everyone's busy schedules, very few people have the time to bake anymore. So, at Cousin Cheryl’s, we have made it our goal for you to be able to recapture that homemade, freshly baked feeling whenever you want. Whether it is our famous chocolate chip walnut, sugar and cinnamon (snickerdoodles), oatmeal raisin, or oatmeal coconut, every time you bite into a cookie you are guaranteed a fresh made and not commercialized cookie. These are cookies that melt in your mouth, and wake up your taste buds. Cookies that bring back memories of childhood, or create new childhood or adult memories.

I have been making cookies since I was old enough to use an Easy Bake Oven. Baking has always brought me joy, but now this joy is even greater as I watch the smile on people's faces after they eat a cookie, or to have a customer come back and say these are the best cookies ever! We use the freshest and finest ingredients.  Our recipes are ones that have been handed down from generation to generation with each member of the family adding their unique signature to it.

Cousin Cheryl’s Story

It all began a little over a decade ago when I moved from NY to LA. I was instantly known as Cousin Cheryl, since that is how my cousin Lori always referred to me when speaking with her friends. When growing up in New York, it was expected that I would bake my signature chocolate chip cookies, and snickerdoodles for family events and parties, and this tradition continued when I relocated to the west coat. When people asked who made the cookies the answer was always the same “Cousin Cheryl”.  After a few years, Lori had children and as expected, I showed up at the parties with a basket of fresh baked cookies. When Lori was asked where she bought the dessert, she replied “Cousin Cheryl made them."

A little over a year ago I decided to make a major change in my life and change careers, and open up my own restaurant and bakery. This lead to many questions, but there was never a doubt as to what the name would be.

Stop by any weekday from 8 AM-3 PM.  You won’t be disappointed!
